I have bought from several sites like temu, wholee, shein, tophatter aliexpress, wish, and a few others so wanted t o make a review about them. I will start with the 2 that are gone and that is Tophatter and wholee. You maybe thinking why include these if they are gone, hmm I don't know just part of my history with sites like these and I didn't find out until making this review that these 2 sites were closed. Anyway Back in 2018 and 2019 I used these 2 sites. The wholee site had shoe that were all priced under 10 from what I recall. The site was just clothes and shoes. I remember getting 3 pairs of shoes and with shipping it was under 40. Granted those shoes were very poorly made and I only have one pair left. Now Tophatter was an auction site and a very addictive one at that. However most of the stuff was junk even if you were getting things at a good price. I had to eventually leave due to spending way to much money there. Temu was a site I found a year and a half ago I think it was. If I remember correctly I saw an ad for them on facebook or it could have been youtube. I do not recall for sure. I know I watched videos about them after that ad too and those videos were on youtube. So I decided to check it out. When I signed up they had all kinds of coupon codes and free shipping. The free shipping had a count down and the coupons were only good for a short time. So I felt the need to order quickly before both no longer worked. I do not recall what my first order was but the site became addictive. I also noticed that even though the countdown for free shipping had ended that the timer just started over. So the whole time I was on temu the free shipping never went away the timer would just start over. Also they would pretty much give you coupons every day or it seemed like every day. What surprised me about some of the orders is that some of the items were of what seemed like good quality. Like I still have some ink pens that I still use and of good quality. I compared them to ones that the dollar tree sells that look the same and the Temu ones are a lot better. Now I did buy shoes from here and all of those were junk and didn't hold up. They fell apart after like 50 to 100 miles. There was only one time I didn't get what I ordered and that was a cube organizer from a seller. Temu took care of that though and I got a refund although they also gave me a refund on other items that were not from that seller. I do not know why they did that. I eventually had to leave as I was spending too much. I also saw complaints from the post office. They had the packages from temu, they are packages very badly and cause a lot of problems for them. Also I saw a video about the other horrors of Temu. Also I deleted my account so can not go back and check what all I ordered. This is just one of many videos on the bad things of Temu. Now Shein, I only found this one months after finding Temu as people were saying Temu was a clone of shein and that temu was just stealing design ideas from shein, something like that. So I decided to check out shein. When I first pulled up the site I was like this does not look like Temu to me and it looks like a women's clothing site. However I went ahead and signed up just to see how much like Temu it was. It does not feel the same and does feel geared toward women's cloths. In fact it took me a while to even find non clothing items. The one thing that was like temu was the coupons they give you daily so that did feel the same. The emails they send you though were all women's cloths. Anyway after finding men's shoes I though you know I am going to buy some of these shoes. I ordered 3 pairs of Nortiv 8 work boots. The price was like 17 or close to that. I will post a screen shot.  I am actually wearing those today and to my surprise these are actually good, I mean not the best in the world but actually good. Also something else that surprised me is even though I ordered from Shein they came from amazon. This really confused me. They came fast too. So not sure if some one selling on shein did a drop ship from amazon or what. I did order a few other items from here, like some tea filters and infusers which all came pretty fast. I did try and also order what looked like the same ink pens that I got from temu but the ones from shein were the same as the ones from the dollar tree so was disappointed. Any way I also left this site after hearing about a few bad things going on here. Like one sellers on shein are stealing designs from name brands or small brands and selling them for way less than those brands could even buy the materials for. I think this is the video that talks about that. All of these types of sites have a problem that is mentioned in the following video which mainly focuses on temu. However it does look like it covers other sites like it. My conclusion is if you buy from these sites be very careful as you never know what you are getting and I would probably avoid wish at all cost. I didn't even talk about wish but have never really seen anything good from there. It is also a joke to some people. Just realized I forgot to talk about Ali-express. This is a site I still kind of buy from but I try to be careful when doing so. You can get junk from here too. 3 of my orders from here were better than items like them on amazon. Going back to my first order with them it was actually from a link on Facebook. There is a tech related group on Facebook that I belong to and some one brought up a KVM on Ali-express. I commented saying that looks like a KVM I just ordered from amazon, however the ali-express one was a lot cheaper. I also mentioned that I was having issues with the KVM. I decided to go head and buy the one that was linked to on Ali-express as the price was good. To my surprise this KVM worked far better than the one from amazon at a cheaper price. I was like wow this is nice. I still use that KVM to this day. I then bought a new cell phone from ali-express which was 100 cheaper than the same one on amazon. I am still using that too. The third order was just as good so I am like this actually saves me money. |
